If something doesn’t seem right, let me know & I’ll fix it. Now let’s get started!

Egg shell (white)
Rnd 1: Using magic loop method, sc6 in the loop. [6]
Rnd 2: Inc in each sts around. [12]
Rnd 3: Inc in each sts around. [24]
Rnd 4-9 (or till desired height): sc1 in each sts around. [24]
Rnd 10 (working the egg cracks): {(sc1, hdc1, dc1), (dc1, hdc1, sc1), dec1} repeat all around. Sl st in the 1st sts. [42]
Cut yarn and weave in ends.

Egg shell on top of head (white) (optional)
Rnd 1: Using magic loop method, sc6 in the loop. [6]
Rnd 2: Inc in each sts around. [12]
Rnd 3: Inc in each sts around. [24]
Rnd 4 (or till desired height): sc1 in each sts around. [24]
Rnd 5: Work the cracks as above.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.

Egg yolk (yellow)
Rnd 1: Using magic loop method, sc6 in the loop. [6]
Rnd 2: Inc in each sts around. [12]
Rnd 3: (sc1, inc) around. [18]
Rnd 4: (sc1, inc) around. [27]
Rnd 5-15 (or till desired height): sc1 around. [27]

While working, you can stuff the yolk into the shell and determine how tall you want it to be. Mine is about 50:50.

Rnd 16: (sc2, dec) around. Start stuffing the yolk firmly.
Rnd 17: (sc1, dec) around.
Rnd 18: dec around.
Cut yarn, close opening, and weave in ends.

Arm (yellow) (make 2)
Rnd 1: Using magic loop method, sc6 in the loop. [6]
Rnd 2: Inc in each sts around. [12]
Fold the circle in half and sew open side together. Leave few inches of yarn for assembling.

Leg (yellow) (make 2)
Rnd 1: Using magic loop method, sc4 in the loop. [4]
Rnd 2: Inc in each sts around. [8]
Rnd 3-4: sc1 in each sts around. [8]
Leave few inches of yarn for assembling.

Assembly
Now, you can assemble all the parts together.
Use black yarn/thread to sew on the eyes.
You may use black & white felts for the mouth. But if you don’t have felts, you can crochet them as below or crochet them in your own way.

Mouth (white)
Use thinner yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 5. [5]
Rnd 2: sc1 in 2nd chain from the hook and all the way down. [4]

Glue or sew on the mouth, then use black yarn/thread, and glue or embroider around it.

And ta daa ~ now you have your amigurumi gudetama!

Please do not sell or distribute this pattern in any way. Please link and credit this pattern back to JasCutesy.

Hello, I was following your pattern but I think there’s something wrong on the egg shell pattern because it is smaller than the egg yolk and it is impossible to assemble them. Could you re-check again. Thanks

Hi! I came across your really cute crocheted Gudetama pattern and wonder if you do sell the already done Gudetama? If yes, how much would it cost?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
